Here's the thing that impactology is delusional to admit: Dwight is GONE. Or soon will be.

Either if he goes to LA, NY, or Chicago, he ain't staying in Florida. He want that superteam treatment.

But, yeah: Dwight/Paul/Kobe vs. Miami Thrice for the 2012 NBA Title would be EPIC is this deal goes down. Especially if Miami makes good on snatching up Greg Oden.

Blah!!!!

I'm so hating the trend that LEBRON has started  I guess he'll go down in history for something. :handicap:

You don't call Magic's Lakers a super team? In fact, all the Lakers do is squad up from other team's best players...from Chamberlain, to Kareem, to McAdoo, to Shaq...a never ending chain. In fact, had the hometwon Grizzlies not been dumb enough to trade Gasol to the Lakers (which I honestly think Jerry West and David Stern partnered up on...), they never would have won their last 2 rings.

Same reason I have basically 0 respect for the Yankees in baseball.

I'm not a Yankee fan but don't hate the player...hate the game.

That's the way it works. Whoever your team is needs to stop being cheap and go buy a team.

On last thing on the super trade that never was: Lamar Odom's feelings.

Some HURT feelins here...

:hah:  @ him thinking he was untouchable. Unless you're wearing the number "24", you were subject to be dealt. He should've known that.

I'm pissed about them blocking the trade, but I'm glad (at least for now) we didn't lose Pau.

I hate to bring this back up, but remember that crazy "open letter" sent by an owner after a certain someone "took his talents to South Beach"....sounds rather forseshowing, don't it?

...so, guess who was leading the owners charge to block the CP3 trade to LA?

Yep. That Dan Gilbert is truly miserable in Cleveland.

Well last season that may have been true. But i've been front and center here with the Magic and i came to my senses a while ago. I knew at some point there was a strong possibility that he would be leaving. But all of the LA was premature. The only way a deal like that happens is if Orlando execs allow it. Dwight can demand and demand all he want but at the end of the day Otis Smith is gonna make a decision for the franchise not Dwight.

So long Dwight. It's been real...

The lakers are not looking so hot these days, now that ya boy Chris Paul is apart of the Clippers, Lamar Odom traded for nothing in return. Also to add injury to insult kobe's wife just filed for divorce. :handicap:

But the biggest insult: Mike Brown said he would be more open to starting Luke Walton over Metta World Peace (A.K.A. Ron Artest)

I think we ALL know what the appropriate answer to this should be....

On paper the Lakers are clearly the LA's second best team.

I mean dont get me wrong the lakers still have a solid starting line-up. Fish, Kobe, Artest, Gasol and Bynum. That's still damned good. But they look more and more like the Spurs in terms of age. And tack on the fact that the bench is pathetic and they need younger PG's I just see this as being a really tough year for Kobe and his guys...
