All those problems you stated are definitely more important than "a band performing and raising money" but this is more about the "message" than the action. In an era when there's a large portion of White Americans that want to turn back the clock on African Americans and other minority rights and freedoms, Donald Trump has become the symbol of that movement. Forget about "Republican vs. Democrats" titles and just focus on the message he and his followers were putting out. So any action by any African American individual or group toward Donald Trump or his supporters sends a "message" that what he and his supporter are advocating is okay. Now I know that's not fair but it's what a lot of us think.

Oh by the way, if we could analyze the thousands of dollars that flooded in to pay for Dega to attend the parade, I bet the vast majority of it came from the Trumps supporters that want to turn back the clock. For some of us (not everybody) Dega's actions are much like the Samuel Jackson's character in "Django Unchanged!" And for others it was just "a band performing and raising money."
