I was wondering if anyone here has experience with SmartMusic. I've been playing around with the software, and I'd like to hear how you all have been using it: assessments, teaching aid, etc.

Yes, I've been playing around with it. It's great the improvements they've made since I was first introduced to the software in 2001. I was wondering how effective it's been for folks who've used it in their classrooms/bandrooms

Wick, I think the poster is speaking of the practice tools (accompaniment, etc) that are the hallmark of Smartmusic. Finale is for you composer/arranger types :pimp: ... not the same thing at all.

I like the smartmusic program...It came in handy when I had to play the Haydn Concerto.
