Just saw the movie...............



Can't say enough good things about it. Worth every penny and every second I held in going to the bathroom during the middle of the movie

OK all you comic book nerds.
Just answer me this one question: The only one of the Avengers whose movie I've seen is Iron Man. If I haven't seen Captain America, Thor, or the Hulk reboot will I still be able to follow and enjoy this movie? I will more than likely succumb to pressure from my 12 year old son and go see "The Avengers" (even though I think "The Dark Knight" was THE greatest super hero movie EVER) and I don't want to sit in a theater totally clueless.

I haven't seen Thor yet (seen the others), so I can't let you know yet saxmaniac.

600 million by the end of opening weekend looks REAL possible (between the 300 million in overseas sales and the 18.7 mil. midnight sales.....which edge past the Dark Knight....).

Go see it. You're good. You haven't missed anything. No real dots to connect. Actually, seeing the avengers and going back and watching the other movies might be more interesting.

The trailers on the Dark Knight Rises to hopefully go shot-for-shot with the Dark Knight (Dunno if it'll be THAT good, but it looks pretty tight)...

The GOAT man-movie Expenditables laying more GOATness with Ah'nold, Bruce, Van Damme and BLEEP'n Chuck Norris...

I've never read a Marvel comic but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. However, staying to watch the 1st scene after the end credits made no sense to me at all. I had to get my daughter to explain it to me.

Make sure you get capt america, too. Both movies have the after-credit teasers for the avengers.

Now I'm with you on that grinning dude in that scene after the end credits. I thought it was the red skull dude from hydra. Apparently not.

I know what I'm having for lunch today. And if you've never had a shwarma, take Stark's advice and find a good middle eastern cuisine restaurant and get one. Don't get adventurous, though. Stick with the chicken.

I dunno abou Shwarma's. Not enough of a big Middle Eastern population where I live to try that..lol...

Box Office Shocker: 'Avengers' Opens to Record Shattering $200.3 Million

Walt Disney Pictures is projecting that Marvel's The Avengers will earn an estimated $200.3 million at the domestic box office this weekend from 4,349 locations, making it the highest-grossing debut of all time! The previous record of $169.2 million was held by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 last year. "The Avengers" averaged $46,063 per theater in North America.

The movie has become the fastest to reach the $200 million mark domestically in three days. It earned $80.5 million on Friday, which is the second-highest single day take of all time and Saturday's take of $69.7 million is the highest Saturday of all time.

"The Avengers," which received an A+ CinemaScore, will cross the $600 million global box office mark today after just 12 days of release! The film added another $151.5 million this weekend internationally and has reached $441.5 million overseas from 52 territories. The movie's estimated global total after today is $641.8 million! "The Avengers" cost about $220 million to make, not counting marketing expenses.

The global box office for "The Avengers" has already surpassed the global box office totals of Captain America: The First Avenger ($364 million), Thor ($449 million), Iron Man ($585 million) and Iron Man 2 ($624 million).

The Avengers was the bomb, no doubt. I'm still holding on to my all time character....Batman. He'll get it done!

Downey was his usual "scene stealing" self , but a CGI Hulk was a close 2nd.

I honestly don't see anything else coming out this year that will top this....

The Movie was great! This was Marvels best movie and I will say that it is close to Dark Knight as far as best comic movie.

I still think Dark Knight Rises is going to surpass it but we shall see.

Marvel Universe Now, Marvel Universe Always!

WB needs to step it up in the movie department! I'm sure now they want a Justice League movie.

The movie was great. I had to get a refund on my friday tickets bcuz the movie staff couldn't control that many people at the theater. Watched it last night and it was awesome. TBH, after the sequel, they need to stop. What makes this movie so good is the fact its a crossover movie and they usually do very well.


Batman should also thank the Marvel Universe for allowing it to be seen during the previews

This movie was great! Hulk is a problem! I like how they used all the actors from the previous character movies!

Now with most of the main marvel characters being introduced to the big screen, bring on the beyonder and the secret wars!
