BEST FAMU/JSU/MBC/BCU/NSU

TOP TEN WAYS TO KNOW IF YOUR THE WORST DRUM MAJOR

10. YOUR 7'1" CARRYING A LITTLE ARSE BATON
9. YOU CALL A SPECIFIC SONG BUT THE BAND PLAYS A SELECTION THEY LIKE BETTER
8. YOUR HAT FALLS OFF AND YOU TRIP ON YOUR CAPE TRYING TO PICK IT UP
7. THERE ARE 4 DRUM MAJORS AND 24 BANDMEMBERS
6. YOU LEFT YOUR WHISTLE IN THE BANDROOM
5. YOU JUST HIGH-STEPPED HALF A BLOCK BEFORE YOU REALIZED THE BAND WAS NOT BEHIND YOU
4. THE BAND DIRECTOR YELLS AT YOU: "I CAN SHOVE THAT WHISTLE UP MY @#$%&! AND BLOW IT BETTER THAN YOU
3. SOMEHOW YOU END UP BACK IN THE BAND
2. YOUR MARCHING ON THE WRONG FOOT AND THE BAND KEEPS YELLING "LEFT,----LEFT----LEFT"!
1. YOU FALL IN A BACKBEND :surprised:

The best-

NSU
JSU
SU (Not this year's DM... I've definitely seen better SU's DMs than him)
B-CU (I usually don't like the very long and drawn out dance feature of a drum major intro but them cats be on it..)
FAMU
MBC (They haven't been around since Honda 03 but they deserve mention!)

The worst-
Morgan State
GSU (They march like they need to change their underpants  )
Alabama SU (I do like their yellow spats though)
A&T (They march they arses off... but they're intros are :handicap: )

On another note.... WTF is up with every drum major intro having some kind of "Luke" drum cadence and tubas blasting while the DMs "show em' what dey werkin wit"?! It should not take the band almost TWO MINUTES to officially start the show.

I appreciate the bands that keep it simple.

To each his own... But I much rather the show get started than to watch a long drawn out dance routine that are reminiscent of boy bands. And it seems every other band is doing it now. SMH

FAMU
JSU- always admired them every since HS.

Worst:

Morgan State
MVSU
NC A&T- When you have more then 2 DM's, you have to make sure that you practice more, because it looks throwed off if all of them are not insync.

And the announcer didn't help at all. He started to talk too fast and was tripping over his own words. Straight jibberish! I'm in tears laughing at those two.

I have not seen anyone from AAMU come in a defend theirselves on that show(can't say that I blame them)

I haven't seen them in a LONG time, but when I was in HS, Alcorn's drum majors were about neck and Neck with JSU's.

Thanks SABBY100, the HAZE has been around a VERY long time. And the tradition that we've kept alive is the fact of being original with everything that we did/do. And MOST of all the DM'S and bands WAKE THE HELL UP when the PURPLE HAZE hits their stadiums.
